The kitchen

Made fresh, made to order. That’s the whole trick.

Charcoal and a hot wok, ceviche cured the minute you order it. Simple Peruvian cooking, done right.

In the kitchen

Fresh ingredients, prepped daily.

We start with good ingredients and prep them the same day, so what reaches your table tastes the way it should.

To order

Cooked when you order it.

Nothing sits around waiting. Your plate is made to order, so it arrives hot and at its best.

At the table

Generous plates, fair prices.

Honest portions and a welcoming room. The kind of place you come back to, whether it is a quick bite or the whole table.

Our story

Two chimneys,
one long table.

Brasas isn't big, and that's the point. The bar runs along one wall, two charcoal chimneys throw heat across the room, and reviewers keep reaching for the same word: cozy. They mean the kind of place where the servers smile through a Saturday rush and a birthday cake arrives in dry ice and sparklers.

The food reads straight off the coast and out of the highlands. Ceviche cured the second you order it, anticuchos and lomo off the charcoal, chaufa stacked in a hot bowl. As one regular put it, Peruvian cuisine this good is rare and hard to find this far out on Long Island. On weekends, a live band plays by the bar.

Authentic Peruvian food and a pleasant vibe. The two chimneys make you feel very cozy and warm.

First time here and wildly impressed. Beautiful spot and wonderful vibes. LARGE PORTIONS, I repeat, large portions. We could have shared everything. The food, the service, even the other patrons. It's a vibe.

Saturday night with a singer on stage. The chim pum callao had all the traditional dishes: causa, choros a la chalaca, ceviche, chaufa de mariscos, chicharrón de pescado. Everything fresh and well balanced. The two chimneys make it cozy and warm.

Love this Peruvian restaurant. Nicely decorated, staff super friendly. Drinks, appetizers, main courses and dessert, the portions were generous and everything very tasty. The bar area was nice with a little stage for singing. Definitely back.

The food was great and they give you a good portion. The yellow and green sauces are excellent. Peruvian cuisine this good is rare and hard to find on Long Island. I recommend the Family Peruvian Combo. Staff courteous and friendly, small place, but cozy.
